How To Pick The Right Realtor- Buying or selling a home can signify the beginning of an exciting journey. And for some, one of the most meaningful life events. This process however, can be overwhelming and stressful. Finding the right real estate agent is not only fundamental it can also make a big difference when it comes to a positive experience and a successful outcome. Hi, I’m Rich Barnes, Owner Broker of Realty Experts in West Allis, Wisconsin. I’ve helped hundreds of buyers find the perfect home in my twenty years in real estate. My advice focuses on three significant areas. Analyze and experience, interviewing agents, and search tips. These three things to consider when searching for the right agent. Number one, experience. While there are many reasons someone might choose a relative or a friend who just got their license to be their real estate agent, doing so, may present obstacles a seasoned professional wouldn’t face or would know how to avoid. After all, intentions may be good natured, but you would be entrusting an amateur with hundreds of thousands of dollars. However, analyze and experience the right way, means looking at more than professional tenure. Number of years does not equal experience. You have to look at how many homes they’ve sold and how familiar they are with the area. Number two, interview. Don’t always have to go with the first person you speak to and you should interview multiple agents before choosing. Important information to gather during the interview process includes number of homes they close each year. Are they using digital marketing properly? Social media, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, Craigslist, Facebook Groups, etc.? Now, I’m not just talking about putting your home on their Facebook page, I’m talking about buying advertising, targeting, retargeting, digital advertising, and so on. Number three, search. Conduct an extensive research online for agents in your area. The first person that comes up on your search, may be there, just because he paid to be there. Solid ways to conduct thorough research include, exploring different review sites like Sotellus, or the Better Business Bureau. Asking someone in your network who have had a positive experience buying or selling their home for recommendations. I’m recognized for being the top 2% of agents in production nationwide. I take pride in my passion to serve my clients buying and selling needs. And I emphasize the importance of hyper local knowledge of our real estate market. I’m Rich Barnes with Realty Experts.
